Nick brings with him a distinguished award-winning career spanning 3 decades, boasting a rich, varied portfolio that spans commercials, music promos, and long-form films. His work has taken him across the globe, with professional stints and creative contributions in key creative hubs including London, Sydney, Los Angeles, and New York, cementing his reputation as a versatile and trusted editorial talent.
Nick kicked off his editing career learning from editor Sam Sneade, where he honed his craft on high-profile projects and collaborated with some of the most legendary names in filmmaking. Early career highlights included work on the iconic Guinness Surfer campaign, directed by Jonathan Glazer and alongside other visionary directors including Frank Budgen on projectsthat remain benchmarks of creative storytelling in advertising.
Nick had two years cutting rock & roll music videos relocating to the States where he began a long-standing creative partnership with multi-award-winning director Douglas Avery. The pair delivered countless memorable projects together. Their first collaboration, Loafer for EB Pila, a playful, spoof of Guinness Surferset the tone for their work. This partnership produced many standout pieces, including Cornershop’s celebrated Lessons Learned from Rocky 1 to Rocky 3, a project that combined wit, style, and sharp editing to great acclaim.
Beyond this key collaboration, Nick has built a career defined by work with world-class directorial talent. Credit includes his work with directing duo HAPPY from Smuggler, where he edited the globally award-winning short film Jane Lloyd, a project that earned recognition on the international festival circuit and further demonstrated his ability to shape powerful, emotional narratives through editing.
