Brazilian born but raised global, Manoela Chiabai is an award winning producer, director and photographer who brings passion, cultural sensitivity, and a love for cinema to her slate of projects.
Due to her unrivalled energy, she and GQ’s in-house production team innovated amidst a global pandemic to create a star-studded awards ceremony featuring short documentaries with names such as Michaela Coel, Lewis Hamilton, Marcus Rashford and more. Within the editorial and commercial world she has produced films for Vogue with international celebrities such as Saoirse Ronan, Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham, Sir Ian McKellen and campaigns for brands like Guinness, Clarks, Vans, Nike.
Nominated for Best Producer at the UKMVAs, her portfolio holds iconic videos for Depeche Mode, IDLES, Future Islands, The Kills, Michael Kiwanuka, Tove Lo, Black Midi, Stormzy and Baxter Dury. Having worked for over 2 years as in house producer and directors rep at RSCG - Ridley Scott Creative Group, in 2022 she went on to freelancing, working with leading production companies such as Iconoclast, Riff Raff, Somesuch, Prettybird.
Chiabai's global footprint extends to HBO documentaries, SXSW-winning features, and Cannes-selected shorts. She executive produced "Como Você," a WePresent-commissioned documentary exploring the Brazilian Grime scene.
Currently, she's developing and producing a feature documentary with Mexican filmmaker Tabatta Salinas, and has assumed the role of Executive Producer at SEIVA, in São Paulo, Brazil, where she will be heading international projects and development.
